Bringing Gear for an Evening Event:

This is a night-time skywatch activity, usually starting around 8:00 p.m. and continuing for 3-4 hours. We try to choose a remote location with good views of the night sky. Please bring a camp chair that you can carry for a few hundred yards.

Also be aware of the need for warm clothing, mosquito repellent, snacks, etc.

Optional gear may include:

Digital Still Camera

VideoCamera

Laser Astronomy Pointers

Portable CD player (to play the crop circle tones)

Nightvision binoculars

Tripod

Automobile radar detectors (battery operated only)

Magnetometer (Tri-field meter) detects the magnetic field of the Earth

Satellite tracking app put on your Smartphone

ET Contact Tool (an app download for iPhone and Android Smartphones has crop cricle tones, mediations, etc.)

Please advise the coordinator if you are able to bring any of the optional gear.
